WiDaF Basic®



The WiDaF test is a German-language proficiency test for people whose native language is not German. The test content reflects real-world business tasks as well as everyday life and provides information that enables corporations to recruit, train and promote candidates and employees with the most appropriate language skills.

The WiDaF Basic® is an objective and standardised language proficiency test for business environments. It evaluates the capacity of non-native speakers to communicate in German in everyday life and international workplace situations. The WiDaF Basic® is especially designed as a stepping stone for beginners seeking to extend their potential in the international business environment. The test aims to measure a range of competences from the Novice to Lower-intermediate levels (described on the Common European Framework as levels A1 to B1).

FORMAT:

Multiple choice test, 70 questions
 Part I: 40 minutes
Vocabulary (30 questions), reading comprehension (10 questions)
Part II: 20 minutes
Listening comprehension (30 questions)
